undefinedSital Kalantry, Director
Professor Kalantry is an Associate Clinical Professor of Law at Cornell Law School where is director of the International Human Rights Clinic and is co-director of the Immigration Appellate Law and Advocacy Clinic. Professor Kalantry has supervised a wide array of international human rights and immigration law projects, including representing immigrants in appeals before U.S. Appeals Courts, drafting an amicus brief to the Supreme Court of the United States on behalf of Madeleine Albright, submitting a report and testifying before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights about the Right to Education in Colombia, submitting an amicus brief to the European Court of Human rights on behalf of the U.N. Special Rapporteur for Health, and drafting a training manual for trial court judges in India on international fair trial standards. She has published, among other places, in the National Law Journal and the Stanford Journal of International Law. Prior to joining Cornell Law School, she was a visiting clinical lecturer at Yale Law School where she co-taught a clinic focusing on national security and civil liberties. She also practiced private international law at two major international law firms. She received a J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School, a MSc from the London School of Economics, and a B.A. from Cornell University.

undefinedJocelyn Getgen, International Human Rights Fellow
Jocelyn is a recent graduate of Cornell Law School and also received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University. Jocelyn has a master's degree in public health from Johns Hopkins. Prior to graduate school, Jocelyn served as a volunteer in the Peace Corps from 2001 to 2003 where she developed a passion for international public health, human rights and social justice. Then, during her time at Cornell, Jocelyn interned with several social justice organizations, including Safe Horizon's Domestic Violence and Immigration Law Projects in NYC, Praxis Institute for Social Justice in Lima, Peru, and the Center for Reproductive Rights' International Legal Program in NYC. While at Hopkins, Jocelyn conducted original in-country research and wrote an award-winning thesis that examined the reproductive health and human rights violations of Nicaragua's complete abortion ban. This Note was later revised and recently published in the Cornell International Law Journal. Jocelyn's commitment to international human rights recently won her the Freeman Award for Civil and Human Rights.

undefinedJanice Rose, Administrative Assistant
Janice is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated with a B.A. in English, French, and Secondary Education from Kent State University in 1968. For 16 years, she was a Program Director and Chapter Manager for the American Red Cross. She has also worked as a high school teacher, Team Travel Coordinator for Cornell Athletics, and presently serves as Administrative Assistant to several faculty members at the law school. In addition to her responsibilities at Cornell, Janice also teaches several Yoga and meditation classes.
