Interview Students at Job Fairs Nationwide

At Cornell, job fairs play a major role in our fall recruiting activity. Last year, 80% of recruiting employers interviewed students at one of our job fairs.

By far our largest off-site interviewing program is the August Job Fair, held the second week of August in New York City. This is truly a national event, with employers hiring for their offices around the country. Last year 131 employers interviewed over 200 hundred students during the 4 days of the fair. Since this is our first recruiting event each season, our most competitive students often find employment through these interviews. Timed to coincide with early interview programs at Columbia and New York University, the August Job Fair is designed to be a cost-effective and convenient interviewing option for employers nationwide.

Job fairs around the country, from Boston to Los Angeles, are another cost-effective way for employers who may not want to travel to New York City or Ithaca. In addition, some employers may find Special Interest job fairs an efficient way to target specific groups of under-represented students they seek to hire.
