Many employers seek opportunities to describe their culture and practice to our students. If the following suggestions do not fit your organization’s needs, feel free to contact us.
Meet with students at one of Ithaca's restaurant or hotel function rooms. Employers hold receptions in the winter/spring to introduce themselves to 1L students in anticipation of fall recruiting. Contact Lyndsey Bullock, Assistant Director of Career Services, at least one month prior to your visit so we may assist you in maximizing you event’s success. Economical and convenient, sending study break snacks in December or May is gaining popularity among employers. We are happy to work with you to discuss the timing and distribution of food and promotional materials.
Especially at our August Job Fair in New York City, employers rent an additional room in which to meet informally with students at job fairs. Some employers choose to sponsor a breakfast or snack to increase their exposure to students at the event. For more information, please contact Donna Dingy.
Raising over $25,000 annually, Cornell’s Cabaret, held each February, is a major source of support for students working in summer public interest employment. Employers interested in raising their profile while contributing to underserved legal needs find this an excellent spotlight option. Contact our Assistant Dean for Public Service, Karen Comstock, for more information.
Some employers target students via personalized letters. Contact us to learn the names of students with ties to your location or skills of use to your practice. While we cannot release students’ contact information, we are happy to forward personalized letters to students via their law school mail boxes.
