Our Goal
We seek to empower you to direct your own job search. We are here to help you develop an informed and independent job-search strategy and to support you in making wise decisions concerning your future.
We cannot "place" you. Only employers have the power to give you a job. We provide professional advice, relevant information, and opportunities to connect with employers.
Our Services
- Counsel students pursuing legal practice or non-legal employment
- Support public and private sector career pathways
- Present career information programs
- Advise on drafting resumes and cover letters
- Serve as a clearinghouse for job information
- Contact employers who might be interested in hiring a Cornelian
- Arrange networking and mentoring opportunities with alumni/ae
- Develop and organize resources for the self-initiated job search
- Arrange for on-campus interviews with legal employers
- Organize job fairs in other cities
- Facilitate students' participation in job fairs organized by external organizations
- Administer a practice interview program
- Maintain a resource library of legal career information
