Mentors

Talk to a Mentor

We maintain two mentor databases through the EZRA system under the “My Network” button:

  • Student Mentors will give you feedback on their summer work experiences
  • Alumni Mentors provide perspective on practicing issues

Law School faculty and administrators who have practiced law can provide you with advice about employers, practice areas and locations.

Why should you talk to a mentor?

  • Gain first-hand insights into particular employers
  • Learn the pathways to sought-after careers
  • Discuss the pros and cons of cities or regions of the country
  • Explore work/life balance issues
  • Obtain referrals to people with additional information

Why do mentors want to help you?

  • To “give back” to their institution or classmates
  • To repay the kindness their own mentors have shown them
  • To stay connected to the law school or students they don’t know
