Professional Biography

Jane Hammond is a Professor Emerita and the former Edward Cornell Law Librarian. With extensive experience in the libraries of Harvard Law School Drexel University, and Villanova University School of Law, Professor Hammond served as Director of the Cornell Law Library for seventeen years until her retirement in 1993. In her tenure in the Cornell Law Library, Professor Hammond fundamentally changed and modernized library operations, and from 1985-1987 worked as Acting Director of the Cornell University Libraries Computerized Library Information Project.
