Derril B. Jordan worked in Indian Affairs at the Department of Interior from 1997-2000. He also served as the Attorney General for the Seneca Nation of Indians from 1994-1997 and as the Tribal Attorney for the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan from 1987-1992. He has spent over 8 years in private practice, including six years during which he was the resident partner in Washington, D.C. for an Albuquerque, New Mexico based firm representing Indian tribal governments and other tribal organizations. Professor Jordan will be teaching Federal Indian Law.
