Professional Biography

After receiving her law degree, Margaret McCarthy was a criminal defense attorney with the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn for five years. She moved to Ithaca in 1994 and began a private practice. She was appointed a Law Guardian, practiced as an attorney with two local departments of social services and was the Ithaca City Prosecutor. She is currently in private practice in Ithaca.
