James J. Mingle, University Counsel and Adjunct Professor of Law, received his B.A. in1968 from St. Josephs College; his J.D. in 1973 from University of Virginia. He was admitted in Maryland, 1974; Virginia, 1990; New York, 1996. Assistant to the President, Frostburg State College, 1973-77; Adjunct Professor, Frostburg State College, 1974-77; Assistant Attorney General, Maryland, 1977-89; Lecturer, University of Maryland School of Law, 1984-88; Chief Counsel, University of Maryland and State Universities/Colleges System, 1981-89; General Counsel, University of Virginia, 1989-95. Lecturer, University of Virginia School of Law, 1994-95. University Counsel and Secretary of the Corporation, Cornell University, since 1995. He will be teaching Law and Higher Education in the spring semester.
