Details describing classroom specific technology and How-To Videos for each classroom can be found below. We also offer 1-on-1 training and each of the classrooms has directions posted at the Podium as well. All classrooms feature a projector, computer, multimedia support, and access to the Internet. If you wish to schedule a 1-on-1 training please e-mail the Law School Helpdesk to schedule this.

Teaching Resources for the following rooms:

New Wing - 182, 184 and 186




  Classrooms 182, 184 and 186  

182, 184 and 186 are the three newest classrooms that came online Spring 2014. These classrooms offer large-group video conferencing to presenters. They also offer a unique Three-Screen experience for the audience and presenter. You are able to display 1 or 2 sources on the different screens. So, f.ex. you can display a PowerPoint presentation on the center screen and you can annotate using the document camera on the two side screen. These classrooms also have the added benefit of confidence monitors. These monitors allow the presenter to see what is behind them, while addressing the audience.

These rooms are distance learning equipped and capable of recording lectures and conferences for live streaming or playback through the web. To have your class recorded once -- or for an entire semester -- please contact the Law School Helpdesk.

  • Run a PowerPoint presentation from a USB Key
  • Use a laptop to run a presentation on the big screen.
  • Use Word, Wordperfect, Quicktime, Flash
  • Access the Internet with Firefox, Chrome or Microsoft IE
  • Play a DVD or Audio CD, through the PC Computer
  • Conduct a video conference with another site anywhere in the world. (If you have a Video Conference Scheduled, please contact the Law School Help desk ASAP, so that we can schedule a test.)
  • Use the Document Camera to display hard copies of items (books, transparencies, pictures) on the big screen. There is a built-in whiteboard as part of the Podium, that you can write directly on.
  • Have your class or event recorded for live streaming or later playback. Classes can be scheduled to be recorded for an entire semester if requested.

First Floor Breakout Area

The First Floor Breakout Area is a limited technology area. This space is located in the new addition outside Classrooms 182, 184 and 186 on the first floor. If you need to use microphones in this space, please contact the Law School Helpdesk to arrange support.

Details:

  • Wireless microphone/wire microphones
  • Wireless Internet Access

As this room is a limited technology space, IT will accept requests to add additional items if necessary for your presentation. (i.e.; projector, ELMO Overhead)


Atrium  

The Atrium is a limited technology area. Below are the details of this room.

Room capacity is: 150 people

Details:

  • Up to four wireless microphones/one wired microphone
  • CD Player/Tape Player
  • Wireless Internet Access

What You Can Do In This Room:

  • Have a presentation with wireless/wired microphones
  • Play an audio CD, Tape Cassette
  • Browse the internet through the Cornell Wireless System

As this room is a limited technology room, IT will accept requests to add additional items if necessary for your presentation. (i.e.; projector, Document Camera)

G85 and G90




ROOM G85 and ROOM G90  

G85 and G90 are one of many large classrooms offering large-group video conferencing to presenters. Three video cameras and over 40 microphones keep track of events while relaying data anywhere in the world. These rooms are also equipped with Internet access, projectors, DVD, and live streaming video capabilities. To view a video on using the technology in this room, please click here.

285 and 290 are similar in scope to G85 and G90. However, they do not have the ability to video conference.
