The Fourth Cornell Inter-University Graduate Student Conference will be hosted by the graduate students at Cornell Law School in Ithaca, New York on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29, 2008.
In response to the “Call for Papers” we received a large number of outstanding abstracts from students at many leading US and international law schools. The selection committee reviewed all of the abstracts very carefully and selected the papers for presentation. Students from Cornell, Columbia, Harvard, NYU, Penn, American, Fordham and BYU will be presenting papers at the conference.
The presentation panels were composed by grouping similarly-themed papers. Papers presented at the conference may be published on the Cornell Law School working papers website.
The conference will begin with a gathering and the first panel on Friday afternoon, March 28 and then continue on Saturday, March 29, with four additional panels throughout the day featuring 4-5 panelists each. The day will include a luncheon and a final reception. Each panelist will provide a ten to fifteen minute presentation of his or her paper topic after which there will be input from the other panelists and conference attendees.
In addition to the students who will be presenting papers, we welcome students who wish to attend the conference as participants without presenting a paper. If you are interested in attending the conference, please contact us at gradconference@lawschool.cornell.edu. We hope that you can join us.
