- We strongly urge that payment be made through the credit card authorization process in the online application if at all possible. We can accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We can also process credit card payments upon receipt of written authorization on a printed copy of the program application. We will accept payment by check or wire transfer. Checks must be drawn from a U.S. bank and made payable in U.S. dollars to Cornell-Paris Summer Institute 2008. .
- The official transcript and letter of good standing must be obtained from the appropriate authority at your school. If you are not a law graduate, the letter of good standing must certify that you are currently enrolled and are eligible to continue academic study at that institution. Candidates from non-U.S. law schools at which the language of instruction is not English must also send a certified English translation of all transcripts, letters of good standing, and proof of English language ability.

Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis, beginning in December 2007.
Full tuition payments are due by May 1, 2008, except in the case of students applying after this date, in which case full payment is due within two weeks of acceptance. Students intending to rely on financial aid are responsible for submitting the initial deposit of US$300, required to complete the application. They are also responsible for making full payment by May 1, 2008, unless a waiver of this requirement is received in writing from the Summer Institute administration. In no event will a student be able to register in Paris if all tuition has not been paid.
Applications will not be considered for admission until the file is complete. A complete file consists of:
- A completed application form. A $300 deposit.
- The deposit is non-refundable unless admission is denied.
- An official law school transcript. Candidates from non-U.S. law schools should send a certified translation of transcripts or equivalent official documentation, if not in English. This must be mailed, not faxed.
- A letter of good standing from your law school, if you are a current student. This must be mailed, not faxed. If it is not in English, please provide a certified translation.
