Cornell Law School has an informal exchange arrangement with the law faculty at the University of Heidelberg, although we have not sent students there in recent years.

Heidelberg University is the oldest in Germany, founded in 1386. The city of Heidelberg is one of the most charming university towns in the world. Nestled along the banks of the Neckar River and overlooked by a beautiful castle, the narrow streets and charming old buildings are a welcoming environment for students and tourists alike.

Academic Calendar:

Winter semester: 1 Oct. - 31 Mar. (classes are held from mid-October to mid-February)
Summer semester: 1 Apr. - 30 Sept. (classes are held from mid- April to mid-July)

Please note that special arrangements would have to be made to complete course requirements if it were necessary to leave before the end of the semester.
