Tietie (Frank) Zhang earned his first law degree from Peking University Law School in China. After graduation, he worked in a major Chinese law firm in Beijing for three years. As a lawyer, Frank primarily practiced law in the field of commercial dispute resolution and successfully advised and represented various clients in scores of arbitration and litigation cases in China. Besides his rich knowledge and experience in general Chinese legal theories and practice, especially commercial laws and dispute resolution mechanisms, Frank's expertise specializes in the field of international commercial arbitration. At Cornell, Frank's J.S.D. dissertation, under the supervision of Prof. John J. Barceló III, will focus on enforcement of arbitration awards in China.
