ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct
The Model Rules currently in force are on the ABA's Center for Professional Responsibility website.

American Legal Ethics Library
Cornell Law School's Legal Information Institute is the source of the American Legal Ethics Library, which provides the codes or rules that set standards for the professional conduct of lawyers and commentary on the law governing lawyers. The library is searchable by jurisdiction and topic.

Center for Professional Responsibility
The Center for Professional Responsibility is a membership organization within the American Bar Association, which provides leadership in developing and interpreting standards and scholarly resources in legal ethics, professional regulation, professionalism, and client protection mechanisms.

FindLaw - Ethics and Professional Responsibility Law
The ethics section of this major legal web site links to state bar associations, ethics rules and opinions, articles, and more.

Freivogel on Conflicts
This practical online guide to conflicts of interest is geared toward lawyers with sophisticated business and litigation practices and is published by attorney William Freivogel, a recognized authority in legal ethics and professional responsibility.

A Good Lawyer - Secrets Good Lawyers [and Their Best Clients] Already Know
This short online book by attorney Stephen Comiskey provides practical advice, exhortations to do the right thing and bits and pieces of wisdom. You can read the book online for free, but if you print a copy or otherwise duplicate it, the author requests payment of ten dollars. It has not been updated since 2002.

LegalEthics.com is a well-organized web resource provided by Internet Legal Services. Rules, opinions, disciplinary bodies, bar associations, and government ethics information is provide for every state.

National Association of Bar Counsel
The National Association of Bar Counsel is a non-profit association of lawyers who enforce disciplinary rules for the US, Canada, and Australia. It has a concise FAQ page about legal ethics and the attorney discipline system.
