2013 ILJ Symposium: The Changing Politics of Central Banks
- Friday, February 22, 2013
- The Cornell Club, NYC
- Governor Daniel Tarullo
- Open To:
Since the beginning of the financial crisis, central banks have been increasingly in the spotlight. They have faced growing political pressures from both ends of the political spectrum, and have branched out into new areas of activity. Additionally, the extent to which national central banks have become interconnected in a global system has been underscored over the past several years—while imbalances in that system have simultaneously become more prominent. This Symposium aims to bring together experts from different professions, disciplines, and countries to discuss these issues and more.
