"Administrative Decentralization and the Rule of Law: Evidence from Chinese Tax Administration" Wei Cui joined the Law Faculty at the University of British Columbia in July 2013. Between 2006 and 2013, he was an Associate Professor of Law at China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) in Beijing. At CUPL, he directed the Center for Comparative Fiscal Research, and assisted numerous Chinese government agencies, including the Budgetary Affairs Commission of the National People's Congress, the State Council's Legislative Affairs Office, the Ministry of Finance, the State Administration of Taxation, on a variety of tax legislative and regulatory matters involving business and individual income taxation, the VAT, and tax administration. In addition, between 2009 and 2010, he served as senior tax counsel to the China Investment Corporation. Wei has held visiting academic appointments at the law schools of Columbia, Melbourne, Fordham, and National Taiwan Universities. RSVP to dkh25@cornell.edu
