On March 5 at 12:15 PM --Dr. Cian Murphy, Lecturer in Law & Director of Graduate Research Studies, The Dickson Poon School of Law, Kings College London will be speaking on “Judging Europe’s Telecommunications Surveillance Law.” Dr Cian Murphy has been a member of faculty at The Dickson Poon School of Law since 2010. In 2013 he was a Fulbright-Schuman Scholar at Georgetown University Law Center and the NYU School of Law. Dr Murphy’s book, EU Counter-terrorism Law: Pre-emption & the Rule of Law won the SLS Birks Prize for Outstanding Legal Scholarship (Second Prize) in 2013. He was a legal consultant in the leading case of C-584/10 P Commission v Kadi before the European Court of Justice. Open to the public. Lunch will be served.
