We are no longer accepting submissions for Volume 95 spring selection. We will start accepting submissions again in September 2009.
How to Submit
The Cornell Law Review accepts the following submissions for consideration in Volume 95: articles, essays, book reviews, and symposium proposals. A piece is considered an essay if it is 25 law review pages or less in length (approximately 10,000 words).
Electronic submission through ExpressO is strongly preferred. Submissions should be in Microsoft Word format.
If a hard copy submission is necessary, please mail your article to:

We regret that hard copy submissions cannot be returned.
Please note that we will not accept submissions received via e-mail and that such submissions will not be returned. Finally, please do not submit your article through both ExpressO and hard copy, as this will create two entries in our database.
Submission Length
The Cornell Law Review is a signatory to the Joint Statement
on article length. Accordingly, authors should be aware that although we have no minimum or maximum page requirements for submissions, we do have a strong preference for submissions that are 30,000 words or less, including text and footnotes. The Review will not publish pieces exceeding 40,000 words except in extraordinary circumstances.
Text and citations should conform to the 18th edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. Footnotes are strongly preferred over endnotes. We encourage the use of gender-neutral language.
Expedited Reviews
To request expedited review of an article, please do so via ExpressO or by e-mail to Senior Article Editor Michael Klebanov. Please include “request for expedited review” in the subject line of the e-mail. Expedite requests must include the title of your manuscript, the name of the competing journal that has extended an offer of publication and the date by which a decision is due. If you submitted electronically, please also include a hyperlink to your submission or the ExpressO identification number assigned to your piece. Please note that due to the high volume of these requests, review of an article by a particular deadline may not be possible.
Withdrawing Your Submission
Please notify the Articles Office as soon as possible if you are withdrawing an article. Please include a hyperlink to your electronic submission or the ExpressOidentification number assigned to your piece.
