2008 Montreal Law & Society Association Meeting
Sessions on Citizen Participation in Legal Decision Making
Dear members of the CRN on Lay Participation:
The 2008 meeting in Montreal is just days away. Valerie, Sanja, and I wanted you to have a listing of all the sessions relevant to the keyword "Lay Participation."
Please note that on Friday at 2:30, we will be holding our "business meeting." Given how tough it is to coordinate a social gathering, this is primarily a way for everyone to have a chance to see one another outside of sessions. Please do try to come; we will discuss some business, but mostly we just want to see you!
Below is a listing of the lay participation sessions, by chronological date. Please note that there are two significant conflicts (Thursday at 2:30 and Saturday morning at 10:15). We talked to the main office to point out what a problem this is for us, but to no avail. The paper submissions for this meeting were truly record-setting, and Ron Pipkin had his hands full just trying to find rooms for every session. Avoiding conflicts like these fell to a lower priority. We truly wish it were otherwise, and hope that people can populate both of the very interesting sessions at each of these times. See you soon!
