J.D. Ambassadors

Clotilde Le Roy

Clo is a second year student at Cornell Law School. She was born in France and grew up in Paris. Before moving to Ithaca, she went to law school in Europe and received an LL.B. in French and German law from the University of Cologne (Germany) and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University (France).

Interested in practicing law internationally, she enrolled in Cornell's J.D./Maîtrise program organized with Paris 1 University. As a student in this degree program, Clo will spend her 3L year in Paris. Last summer, she worked as a Research Assistant on matters related to civil procedure with Professor Clermont.

At Cornell, Clo is the 2L Representative in the executive board of the Cornell Law Students Association. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, kayaking on Cayuga Lake and hiking through the state parks around Ithaca."

Hoo Ri Kim

Hoo Ri is a third year student at Cornell Law School. She was born in Korea but grew up mostly in Dubai, and spent her undergraduate years in California. After studying Political Science with a concentration in International Relations at UC Berkeley, she brought her interest in international law to Cornell.

Last summer, she spent the first half working for Professor John Blume at Cornell Law School on a research project related to the death penalty, and spent the second half working at the antitrust group at a law firm in Korea.

At Cornell, she serves as the Academic Chair for the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, works as an associate for the Cornell Law Review, and is an avid participant of Moot Court competitions - she most recently won the Cuccia Cup as well. In her spare time, she enjoys running and discovering new places to eat (a real big foodie!). As an Admissions Ambassador, Hoo Ri hopes to be an approachable, honest and friendly resource for anyone who is considering joining the wonderful Cornell Law School community.
