Janine Prantl received her PhD in Law from the University of Innsbruck. Her doctoral thesis focused on the legal framework for refugee resettlement to the European Union, where she drew on comparative aspects from the US system. Janine also holds an LL.M. degree from Columbia University, with honors as James Kent Scholar. She received a one-year post-graduate fellowship from Columbia and supported the Global Strategic Litigation Council for Refugee Rights as Legal Fellow until August 2022. Prior to her law studies in the US, Janine gained experience as research and teaching fellow at the University of Innsbruck, Austria.
