Professional BiographyCharles E. Roberts is an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of New York (Syracuse). He has worked in both the Criminal and Civil Divisions, and his current duties include civil prosecutions, Bivens claims, and habeas corpus. Professor Roberts also supervises the U.S. Attorney's law student program.
He has taught at the U.S. Department of Justice, the National Advocacy Center, and Syracuse University. His courses have included Appellate Advocacy, Trial Practice, the BALSA Trial Team (coach), and a week-long training for new Department of Justice attorneys.
He has been published in an appellate treatise, law review, and the Federal Civil Practice Manual.
