Stephen G. YusemAdjunct Professor of Law (Fall term)
Mr. Yusem is an independent mediator and arbitrator. He is a Fellow of both the College of Commercial Arbitrators and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). He has served as a member of the faculties of the American Arbitration Association, the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association Complex Arbitration Panel.
He is immediate past co-chair of the Arbitration Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution and immediate past chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee having formerly chaired the Montgomery Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. He is a former director of the Commercial Section of the Association for Conflict Resolution. He chaired the Personal Injury Subcommittee of the Pennsylvania Joint State Government Commission Advisory Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution. He is accredited as a mediator by the Center for Excellence in Dispute Resolution (CEDR).
His publications include "Revised Uniform Arbitration Act Report" to the Pennsylvania Senate Judiciary Committee (2012) and "Code of Ethics for Arbitrators in Commercial Disputes," Metropolitan Corporate Council, July 2004.
Mr. Yusem received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his B.A. from Cornell University.
