Edward McArdleAdjunct Professor of Law
Mr. McArdle is an Assistant Attorney General on the staff of the New York Attorney General. His work includes representing the State of New York and its employees in a wide variety of civil litigation. For many years, his work has also included representing the State University of New York Upstate University Hospital on patient consent and discharge issues. He is also the clinical supervisor of students interning at the Attorney General’s Syracuse Regional Office.
In addition to his work as an Assistant Attorney General, Mr. McArdle has written articles on the use of health care proxies and do-not-resuscitate orders and an annual health law survey. He has also taught classes in professional practice, ethics and health law to law students, medical students and paralegal students.
Mr. McArdle is a member of the Onondaga County Bar Association Pro Bono Committee and was honored by the New York State Bar Association for his work in creating a free legal assistance clinic at a Syracuse area hospital. For the past several years, he has worked to develop a volunteer legal clinic at a health clinic that serves the uninsured and poor in downtown Syracuse, New York.
