As the 2020 presidential election is fast approaching, voting this year, as in every year is significant for everyone, especially African Americans. This panel will cover the history of the African American vote in the US and the civil rights associated with voting; provide a primer on election law and the Electoral College; give all attendees insight into how attorneys can help protect voting rights and provide insight into the importance of voting from the perspective of an elected official.
