The year 2020 ushered in a host of national issues, some of which were new (the COVID-19 global pandemic) and some, not so new (the ongoing systemic injustices of racism and police brutality.) The ramifications of these unprecedented times are causing leaders around the country to think creatively and act swiftly. You are cordially invited to join New York State Senator Zellnor Myrie, JD ’16 and Sheri Lynn Johnson, James and Mark Flanagan Professor of Law, Cornell Law School, for a conversation about the struggles for justice in policing and prisons as they look back on the past seven months, and forward to the new year 2021.
