As reported recently by the
National Law Journal, Cornell Law ranks 4th for placing graduates in the largest law firms. The chart below shows the top 10 schools with the highest percentage of graduates placed in the country's 100 largest law firms. (Excerpts from the article below)
Cornell Law School moved up three spots to No. 4. Chicago, Northwestern, New York University School of Law, and the University of Virginia School of Law each moved up one spot within the top 10.
"We are a very strong school and we have been for a long time, in terms of being a feeder to those large firms," said John DeRosa, associate dean for career services at Cornell.
"Because of that, the majority of the students who come to Cornell have a strong pre-existing interest in Big Law," DeRosa said.
Cornell has also increased programming to prepare students for the on-campus recruiting process and is hosting more events to introduce students to firms during their first year, DeRosa said.
