Professional Biography

Boris Praštalo is a Doctoral Candidate at Central European University (CEU). Prior to his enrollment in the S.J.D. program at CEU, he obtained his LL.M. in International Business Law from the same institution. His areas of interest include international business transactions, sales law, international commercial arbitration and uniform law instruments. Besides his native Serbian language, he is also fluent in English and Spanish. Prior to coming to Cornell Law School, Boris was a coach of the Vis Moot team at Central European University and acted as a Research Assistant for the Institute of International Commercial Law (Pace University). In 2017, Boris co-authored a monograph titled "Croatian Commercial and Economic Law", and had an article accepted for publication by Vindobona Journal of International Commercial Law and Arbitration.

Focus of Study

Application issues that arise under the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The tentative title of his thesis is "The Attainment of Uniform Application of the CISG - Comparative Analysis and Recommendations for the Future".
