Julia Mizutani, Law Research, Instruction, and Liaison Librarian; Adjunct Professor of Law, is this year`s winner of the 2024-2025 Anne Lukingbeal Award. The award is presented annually by the Women`s Law Coalition (WLC), and is given to a member of the faculty or staff who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the advancement of women in the legal profession. This year marks the 27th year of this annual tradition!
WLC is an organization at Cornell Law School dedicated to advancing women in the legal profession and building a supportive community and network for women.
"Professor Mizutani plays an essential role in supporting student research, teaching legal research in the Lawyering program, and assisting faculty with scholarly work. Beyond that, she leads the Prison Education Practicum, part of the Cornell Prison Education Program (CPEP), which connects students with opportunities to support higher education for incarcerated individuals in upstate New York." said Leila Gomez, Co-Diversity Chair of WLC.

Our first Admitted Student Day (ASD) of the semester was a resounding success! ASD, is an annual event here at Cornell Law School, which provides admitted students with a chance to learn more about our school and the classes we offer, meet the wonderful faculty and staff we have here, as well as tour the law school and participate in a mock class! Our second ASD this year, will take place on Friday, April 11th…we can’t wait to begin this journey with you to helping you become “lawyers in the best sense!”
