Study Abroad

Beginning in the spring of their second year, students may spend up to a semester studying at a law school in another country and earn credit toward the J.D. degree. We have strong partnerships with more than 20 of the world's leading universities, and also encourage students to explore more short-term abroad options in clinics, internships, fellowships, and the Cornell-Paris 1 Summer Institute.
Opportunities Abroad
International Clinics and Fellowships
Through our clinics and practicums, students serve clients across the world and promote justice on a global scale. Many of our clinics give students the chance to engage with international law and institutions on a range of issues, including international human rights, the death penalty, refugee rights, gender justice, farmworkers' rights, and labor rights.
