3+3 Pathway

• Only Cornell University, Hobart William Smith Colleges, and St. Lawrence University undergraduates are eligible to participate in this program

• Applicants are required to have completed 108 credits of their undergraduate program before starting at the law school
• All major and school requirements must be completed before the start of the J.D. coursework
• Hobart William Smith Colleges and St. Lawrence University undergraduates require the LSAT
• Select Cornell undergraduates are able to apply with their ACT or SAT exam score in lieu of an LSAT or GRE score
• Ranked in the top 10 percent of their class or achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through six semesters
• Must demonstrate analytical writing skills and strong professional motivation

• Cornell Law School J.D. application
• Undergraduate transcripts through their junior year of study (Spring grades must be sent to LSAC as soon as they are available in order to receive a final decision as soon as possible)

• LSAT, SAT or ACT standardized score based on school

• Two Letters of Recommendation

• Applications accepted during the junior year of undergraduate study
• The J.D. application opens September 1st and closes August 1st
• If fall grades for the junior year are available at the time of submission, please include them with your application
• Transcripts are due by July 1st

• The application fee is waived for 3+3 Pathway applicants*
• Saves a year of study by combining both degrees
• The LSAT requirement is waived when applying with an ACT or SAT score for Cornell students
