Who we are the Clarke Program East Asian Law

The Clarke Program is defined by its commitment to interdisciplinarity broadly conceived and to focus on humanistic approaches to East Asian law, but it is also and primarily, a group of like-minded people--students, scholars, researchers--united by their shared interest for new approaches to transnational law, politics, and culture.

Every year, our team welcomes new visiting scholars and exchange students, who interact with our associated faculty, and beyond, with the Cornell community at large. Since 2002, students and scholars have not simply "visited" the Cornell campus for a semester or more: they have remained in touch with us and with one another and now form the unique network that has coalesced around the program over the last ten years.
