Universidade Católica Portuguesa School of Law Lisbon, Portugal
Cornell Law School may send two students to the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UPC), with preference going to students wishing to attend during the spring semester ("Second Term").
Language of Instruction
Lisbon was the place where the first step toward globalization was taken centuries ago, with the beginning of the European exploration of the new world. At the same time, Lisbon has a vibrant modern ambiance, affordable living costs, and sits poised as the geographical and strategic bridge between Europe and the United States.
Second Term: Early-January - Late-April
First Term: Mid-September - Late-December
Courses and Credits
Students may select courses from the two LL.M. programs offered at the UPC Law School--LL.M. Law in a European and Global Context and Advanced LL.M. in International Business Law.
For credit purposes, 700 minutes of lecture time equals one Cornell semester credit. Earning a total of 12 Cornell credits (the maximum for J.D. students) thus requires a total of 8,400 minutes of lecture in the courses chosen.
Interested students should consult the UCP website for more details.
